Ian is no good at writing bios. This fact is not stopping him from doing so now, even though he’s referring to himself in third person. He will stop to try and pet any cat he encounters, dropping anything he was doing for the greater glory of the cat. Ian was dragged to a blues dance some years back, and gradually rediscovered a childhood passion to dance. Slowly, but surely, he became addicted to the music, motion, emotion and connection in partner dance, discovering fusion and then micro.

Upon moving to LA, he decided to spread the word of micro, and opened LA’s first micro dance venue with his friend and co-organizer, Jeannie Lin. In DJing, he tries evoke the passion, connection, catharsis, emotion, and all the other -ions he experiences in dance.
